Sustainability

Responsible Isn't a Checkbox. It's Infrastructure.

From how our goats are cared for to what happens to farm waste, sustainability at Silvaj Agro is built into daily operating decisions — not a once-a-year report.

Most sustainability pages are marketing. Ours is operational — a closed loop where farm waste becomes farm input, and animal welfare is treated as a quality control decision, not a talking point.

Animal Welfare

Healthy goats.
Genuinely better milk.

Stressed, poorly housed animals produce inconsistent milk — that's a documented reality of dairy science, not just an ethical talking point. Our herds are managed with adequate space, regular veterinary care, and low-stress handling practices, because animal welfare and milk quality are the same investment, not competing priorities.

Farmer Empowerment

Growth that reaches
the farm gate.

Our contract farming and livestock development programs exist so that scaling Silvaj Agro also scales the incomes of the farmers who supply us — through fair procurement pricing, breed improvement support, and guaranteed off-take, not just a purchase order.

Circular Economy

Nothing from the farm
goes to waste.

Manure from our herds becomes vermicompost, organic compost, and bio-fertilizer — sold back into agriculture rather than discarded. It's a closed loop most dairies never build, because most dairies don't own the herd, the processing, and the farm inputs all at once. We do.

The commitments
we're building toward.

These are active investments, not finished claims — we'll update this section with hard numbers as they're confirmed.

Solar Energy

Investing in solar capacity to reduce our processing facility's reliance on grid power.

Rainwater Harvesting

Capturing rainwater on-site to reduce dependence on groundwater for farm and facility use.

Zero Waste

Designing processing waste streams toward reuse — organic by-products, not landfill.

Green Packaging

Actively evaluating recyclable and reduced-plastic packaging formats across the range.

Carbon Reduction

Working to reduce the carbon footprint of transport and processing as the business scales.
